KEY SPECIES OF OUR AREA

Spotted Pardalote

This area is home to many woodland species which are now threatened or at best uncommon. They include Musk and Little Lorikeets, Turquiose Parrots, Black-chinned and Regent Honeyeaters, Speckled Warblers, Southern Whiteface, Chestnut-rumped Heathwren, Spotted Quail-thrush, Varied Sittella, Hooded and Red-capped Robins, and Diamond Finch. There are other endangered species and special interest species about too, like the Black Falcon, Grey Goshawk, Square-tailed Kite and Musk Duck, and also inland colonies of Bell Miner and New Holland Honeyeaters.

The nearby mountains are a home for the endangered elusive Rufous Scrub-bird, Scarlet Robin, Flame Robin and Olive Whistler.

The more time you are able to spend here, the greater will be your reward!
